The Epilepsy Training Courses
A variety of up to date research based epilepsy courses for groups of people at introductory, advanced and refresher levels. The course content can be customised to meet the needs of your organisation and the attendees. A variety of teaching and learning methods are used to suit the group and course, for example multi media presentations, small group workshops and case studies, discussion groups, practical demonstrations and supervised simulated practice sessions.

All emergency rescue medication courses are delivered in accordance to the current best practice guidelines to facilitate safe care and appropriate administration of rescue medication for people with epilepsy. All courses are delivered by an experienced Qualified Trainer who is a Registered Nurse and Specialist in Epilepsy.
Where will the courses be held?
Most courses are delivered in-house at your venue but may also be delivered at a venue of your choice, this will be discussed prior to booking.
Epilepsy Education and Training is based in Herefordshire/The Welsh Borders but is able to deliver training to most areas of the United Kingdom. Competitive prices are available for training in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Midlands and Birmingham, Monmouthshire, South Wales, Bristol and Bath, and Somerset.
Who can attend the training?
Anyone and everyone with an interest in epilepsy or who cares for or supports a person or people with epilepsy, whether in a family or independent home, residential home, supported living, day service, respite or rehabilitation services, educational or school environments.
Epilepsy Education and Training provides regular and one off training for a variety of organisations such as local councils, housing authorities, transport services, public sector and charities, residential care organisations, primary care and hospital trusts, schools and colleges and many others.
Who will deliver the training?
Lynette Breton who is a specialist in epilepsy and qualified Registered Nurse (RN) as well as a qualified and experienced trainer, Lynette has been working in the field of epilepsy since 1993 both in clinical practice, research and training, and continually updates her qualifications and professional registrations along with epilepsy knowledge and relevant skills. The trainer is well regarded in the field of epilepsy and has published several peer reviewed research articles and continues to maintain close links with the professional epilepsy community. training is delivered in a skilled and professional way, Lynette is clearly always current with her own learning, she is particularly adept at answering questions from staff relating to individual situations they deal with ie. unplanned input.
